The intro to the book allowed both sceptics to be put at ease and allowed for a smooth introductory chapter for any baby witch or curious mind. It feels far less restrictive than spells I've read elsewhere. The spells call upon your own energy and how you channel it, and that energy enhanced by the moon. Moon Spells isn't pagan, Wiccan or something else specific. It is a book for beginners, but I can see more advanced practitioners enjoying this book for its openness to everything. While it focuses all spells around the phases of the moon, the spells could make for a very good backbone to alter to personal taste at a more experienced level. It gives a lovely overview of spell planning and preparation, locations and tools. This book was super easy to understand and anyone who has never experienced paganism, witchcraft or metaphysics would be able to easily understand all the content. I've watched YouTube videos, listened to podcasts and read Wiccan pamphlets, but never a book geared specifically to witches. It's easy to understand and customize what is in it to a variety of practices. The first being this book has helped me so much in practice. ![]() I choose Moon Spells by Diane Ahlquist for a couple of reasons. This is my first proper introduction into witch books. This is my first review in a long series of coming reviews. ![]()
